|smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer £25|
This post as are all my recent ones should have been published around Christmas time but you know that saying, better late than never! I wasn't even going to mention the fact that this post is late but I kinda have to since I've gift wrapped it to myself at the time... yes, you read correctly, I myself gifted this to myself. I did this purely and simply because there was a FREE gift wrap option at checkout, how can I resist anything free?
|I did not realize how dusty that box is!|

I went all out and even wrote my self a note. I have to admit that I forgot I wrote a note and was a little confused when I read it back. I thought, who dare write me a note when I was the one who purchased it out of my own money, out of my own pocket?! It only started making sense when I got to the end where it says "yourself, then I remember that I am that sad to leave myself a gift note, and then completely forgetting about it, and then feeling agitate because I thought someone else had the nerve to leave me a gift note, and then realizing that this was all my own doing! ENOUGH RAMBLING, let's talk about the primer.
I know that you might think that this is a little pricey for a product that you wont even see on our face but believe me when I say that this is worth all the money in the world! Okay not really all the money, but it is worth £25. I got this around Christmas time where they had a special promo for the Photo Finish Primer Duo, where you get a full size and travel size primer for £25 so I obviously had to have me some of that good stuff. You could say that this primer does exactly what it says on the box. I still remember the first time (2 years ago) I applied smashbox primer onto my face, the product glided on smoothly without dragging on the skin, which is extremely important as this is the first cosmetic product that touches your face. It sets almost instantly, leaving your skin transformed and feeling luxuriously velvety soft to the touch. The most dramatic and noticeable change was how mattifying this primer is, which makes this great for all those who want to cover up that shine on your face. My skin type is combination of normal to oily, and tend to get quite oily around my t-zone area. I prefer a matte finish to my face and this primer definitely helps me achieve that. It does make your make up last longer, and keeps the grease/shine away for a long day at work/uni/school etc. All you might need is a couple of powder touch ups throughout the day and your set for your day, and this is so good that it will probably last you through to your evening activities.
I'm just looking at the website's image of the primer and it looks very white. I can assure you that this product is clear. The tubes in my images are clear (aside from the black bits), so what you see in the tubes is what this primer looks like. I didn't get a chance to photograph any on my finger as I can keep still and the photograph comes out blurry but I wanted to give you an idea of what the product looks like. Other than it's mattifying effect, you wont see it on your face when applied.
Another bonus with smashbox is that you would get a complementary sample with every online order! Over the last few years I have been receiving their mascara which I adore, but this time I got sample of their primer. Perfect to gift a curious friend or even just to pop it in your travel make up bag.
I think I've covered everything but if I have missed out anything you would like to know, please leave a comment and I will get right back to you! Hope you found this helpful.
Until next time,
